Northleaf Winery earned Travel Green Wisconsin Certification in March 2013. We’re honored to be part of the Travel Green Wisconsin program, taking action towards environmental, social and economic sustainability. Some of our best practices: We are located in an 1850 building, on which we did a massive restoration. You could say we recycled the building itself!  Part of the building was beyond repair, so it was removed and all the wooden beams were sorted out and reused in the rest of the building. Even our window and door trim in the tasting room is made from that recycled wood. Now restored, the building is an invaluable asset; in a landfill, it wouldn’t be worth a thing. We recently began using all natural ZERO CARBON FOOTPRINT corks on our bottles. They are made by NOMACORC out of sugarcane, a completely renewable resource! In the same spirit we actively recycle everything we can: aluminum, steel, plastic, glass, cardboard. We have art pieces in the tasting room that were made cut out of old appliances by Ray Redmann, a local craftman. Even the bottles we use in the tasting room are delabeled by our grandchildren, washed and sanitized by us,  and then reused – a pretty labor intensive process. We give our regular customer discounts and incentives to keep their own glasses in the tasting room. Because we’ve done Citizen Water Monitoring on a local lake we are very conscious of invasive species. That’s why we used all native plants in our landscaping, mulch our plants to reduce water usage, collect rainwater in a rain garden to prevent unfiltered runoff, only water when the sun is down, and use our own organic pesticide recipe on our vines and plants. We buy paper, soap and cleaning supplies in bulk and use reusable dispensers. We use low-flow toilets. We have changed 30% of our incandescent light bulbs to compact flourescent lamps or LED lighting. Our outside lights are timed to be off when the building is unoccupied. We have programmable thermostats which are automatically lowered when the buildings are unoccupied. We use Energy Star qualified dehumidifiers and hot water heaters. We power off our printers and computers every night. Instead of washing them down, we sweep our driveways and sidewalks. Exhaust fans are vented outside. Hepa filters are used in our furnaces. We properly dispose of hazardous materials and test for carbon monoxide and radon. Our building was checked for lead paint and asbestos  prior to restoration. We promote local! We provide the community with a product and service that helps strengthen the local economy. We make our products on-site, and promote local crafters, artists and food producers. We promote other local businesses: restaurants, shopping, recreation. We contribute to the community’s well-being by supporting community activities such as Goodrich Square, The Splash Park, The Milton House, Milton College, the Milton Public Library and donate to hundreds of local organizations, events and projects every year. We belong to our local Chamber of Commerce and the Wisconsin Winery Association. There’s so much you can do – you just have to be aware. Every little thing can do a world of good! OUR HISTORY: Three Lakes Winery has been making the Original Cranberry Wine since 1972. As the second oldest winery in Wisconsin, we have our roots in tradition of authentic wine flavor. The McCain family’s unique wines are made from whole fruits and berries, no flavorings or juices added. If you’ve never tasted a fruit wine before – start with these!   OUR TASTING ROOM: Built in 1880, our historic tasting room is located in the Chicago and Northwestern train depot in Downtown Three Lakes. You can taste up to 6 wines for free, but you’ll have a difficult time choosing!  The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, with a variety of award-winning wines, cute gifts and specialty foods available. Rain or Shine, it’s definitely worth a look around! **Tastings close** 15 minutes before the store closes, ending at 4:45pm Monday – Saturday and 4:15pm on Sunday.   WINERY TOURS: We always host free samples all year, and we have tours going on now! While visiting our tasting room, visitors can also enjoy complimentary winery tours of our production area during the summer—Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend (Monday, May 28 – Monday, Sept 3 2018). Public tours are held hourly from 10am-4pm daily. Tours last approximately 15 minutes. Private group or party tours are available with an appointment.   OUR WINES: Unlike other fruit wineries, this wine is made using whole fruit without additional flavorings or juices—a difference you can taste! We process our fruit using ‘whole berry’ fermentation, which makes our wines very unique. Cranberry is still our best selling wine, but we offer a variety of fruits and blended grape wines for a variety of taste. Our wines are true table wines, therefore they contain between 10% and 12% alcohol. Our wines are also gluten free. According to the laws of the United States, you must be 21 years or older to order, for yourself or as a gift, any wine or baskets containing wine.

Milwaukee Brewing Company was founded on principles of crafting and creating beers using the best local ingredients and suppliers in a sustainable, creative and innovative environment. Milwaukee Brewing Company started as Milwaukee Ale House, a brewpub with a custom 15bbl brewery. Founder Jim McCabe applied engineering experience and home brewing momentum to design a very functional and robust brewery, built by W.M. Sprinkman in Franksville Wisconsin. The first beer was produced in October, 1997 at a time when Milwaukee was a still a lager town. Over a decade of producing a rotation of year-round Ales and over 300 unique seasonal flavors at the Ale House established a fan base of craft drinkers that understood the effort. Adding to the momentum is a new generation of craft beer lovers that are very knowledgeable and just as passionate as the Milwaukee Brewing Company brewery scoundrels. The growing demand for the Milwaukee Brewing Company beers matched the nationwide movement towards Craft made innovation. In November 2007 Milwaukee Brewing Company kegged the first brew at the 2nd Street Brewery, a 50bbl packaging facility. In keeping with the core values of working in sustainable, creative and innovative environment, the 2nd Street Brewery applies current-day technology with vintage equipment to achieve creative flexibility and energy efficiency.

The Wisconsin Deer Park has been in business for over 50 years and is one of Wisconsin Dells original attractions – sharing time with the Duck/Boat tours on the Wisconsin River. Family owned and operated, starting with Russ Tollaksen, the Deer Park is now operated by his grandson. The Deer Park consists of about 40 acres of land. The walk through the exhibit is about 4 blocks long. Here at the Deer Park we breed and raise deer and act as a zoological supply service for live deer. Deer from our park have been shipped to animal exhibits and zoos all over the country! We also operate the park as a animal exhibit and tourist attraction. As you stroll the along paved, groomed, wooded trails, you will experience not only White Tail Deer but also interact with the magnificent American Elk (Wapiti), American Bison, the European Fallow Deer, the Dainty Japanese Silka Deer and much more. All of our animals are carefully cared for and displayed for maximum comfort accessibility and the enjoyment of visitors.

The Museum welcomes visitors to three floors of gallery space where the permanent collection is displayed along with special feature exhibitions. The Museum also has a spectacular rooftop sculpture garden, penthouse, auditorium, library, museum store, lounge and workshop

The Milwaukee County Historical Society’s vast collection of Milwaukee beer and brewing history was on public display in 2016 and was very popular. People came from all over to see artifacts, images and memorabilia and to see the roots behind Milwaukee’s nickname: Brew City.By popular demand, the exhibit has returned, but with a twist. Come see for yourself why Brew City MKE is Milwaukee’s beer heritage destination. Guests are welcome to explore Milwaukee’s beer history through the exhibit and to raise a glass to our great town – fondly known as Brew City! The exhibit will be on display during this one year pilot experience and a bar featuring Milwaukee brews will be available.

The National Mustard Museum is home to the world’s largest collection of prepared mustards and mustard memorabilia. Tour our museum or sample any of our 500 mustards in the gift shop. Admission is free!
